Our focus has always been on providing a reliable, professional service while retaining the personal approach you would expect from a local business.

How We Can Help
We provide a wide range of NHS and private pharmacy services to support your health and wellbeing. If you are unsure whether a particular service is available, please contact us and speak to a member of our friendly team.
We carry a comprehensive stock of medicines, dressings, and appliances to enable us to dispense the majority of prescriptions promptly. Unlike some pharmacies, we work with multiple wholesalers to reduce the risk of supply shortages and ensure continuity for our patients.
In addition to our main suppliers, we maintain accounts with other secondary suppliers, allowing us to source medicines and appliances from the UK and internationally when required.
We are able to supply the majority of prescriptions at the time they are presented. Any remaining items are usually available within 24 hours. Our extensive range of dressings reflects our involvement in wound management within the community and nursing homes we support.
Contact UsPrivate prescriptions are issued following a private consultation with a doctor or dentist. In some cases, private prescriptions are required for medicines or travel vaccinations that are not available through the NHS.
With private prescriptions, patients pay the full cost of the medication rather than a fixed NHS charge. We can dispense any valid private prescription issued by a UK-registered doctor or dentist.
If you have questions about private prescriptions or associated costs, our pharmacy team will be happy to assist.
Contact UsThe Pharmacy Minor Ailment Scheme allows patients to receive advice and treatment for a range of conditions without the need to visit a GP. The service is provided by the pharmacist and is designed to offer timely support for everyday health concerns.
Under the scheme, the pharmacist can assess symptoms, provide appropriate treatment where suitable, and offer guidance on managing minor illnesses safely. This helps ensure patients receive prompt care while reducing the need for GP appointments.
The service is provided in line with NHS guidance and consultations are carried out with discretion. If symptoms require further medical attention, the pharmacist will advise on the appropriate next steps.
Find out more in our Minor Ailments Scheme section.
Contact UsEmergency hormonal contraception is available as an NHS extended service and is provided free of charge. All consultations are completely confidential.
If emergency contraception is required, it is important to attend the pharmacy as soon as possible after unprotected intercourse, as effectiveness reduces with time.
The consultation must be carried out with the person requiring treatment, although you are welcome to bring a partner or friend for support. Consultations take place in a private consultation area with a pharmacist.
During the consultation, the pharmacist will ask relevant questions to ensure the treatment is appropriate and safe. Clear guidance will be provided on how to take the medication, possible side effects, effectiveness, and any additional contraceptive precautions required. If emergency contraception is not suitable, we will contact your GP or a family planning clinic to arrange urgent further care.
Contact UsWe provide seasonal flu vaccinations for eligible patients under the NHS, as well as private flu vaccinations for those who do not meet NHS criteria or prefer a private service. Vaccinations are administered by trained pharmacy staff in a private consultation setting.
The flu vaccine helps protect against seasonal influenza and is recommended for those at higher risk of complications, as well as individuals who wish to reduce their risk of illness during flu season. Our pharmacy team can advise on eligibility, availability, and the most suitable option for you.
Appointments and walk-in availability may vary depending on the time of year. Please contact the pharmacy for the most up-to-date information on flu vaccination services.
Contact UsWe accept unused or unwanted medicines for safe and appropriate disposal. Keeping unused medicines at home can be dangerous, and medicines should never be disposed of in household waste, sinks, or toilets.
Tablets, capsules, and liquids do not need to be sorted before being returned. However, we ask that needles, syringes, or broken glass are only returned in an approved sharps container. Free sharps bins are available from the pharmacy on request.
Contact UsThe New Medicine Service provides additional support for patients who have been prescribed a new medicine for a long-term condition. The service is designed to help you understand how your medication works, how and when to take it, and what to expect during the early stages of treatment.
After you begin taking a new medicine, the pharmacist will arrange a follow-up conversation to discuss how you are getting on, address any concerns, and identify potential side effects or difficulties. This allows issues to be resolved early and helps ensure your treatment is working as intended.
The service is confidential and provided under NHS guidance. If you have recently started a new prescribed medicine and would like further support, our pharmacy team will be happy to advise.
Contact UsWe are able to dispense a range of veterinary prescription medicines prescribed by your vet. These are often medicines that the vet does not routinely stock and may include human medicines prescribed at an appropriate dose for your animal.
For safety reasons, we are not legally permitted to sell human over-the-counter medicines for use on animals, as some can be harmful. If you are unsure about treatment for your pet, we will always advise consulting your vet to ensure the correct care.
Contact UsPatient safety is always our highest priority. Every prescription we dispense is checked by the pharmacist on duty to ensure there are no harmful interactions with other medicines you may be taking.
We are also happy to advise on over-the-counter medicines and can confirm whether they are suitable alongside your prescribed treatments.
Contact UsMonitored dosage systems are available for patients who find it difficult to remember to take their medication or to take it at the correct times.
This service is provided free of charge for patients referred by their GP, community nurse, or health visitor under the NHS scheme.
We use the Nomad Clear monitored dosage system, which provides a weekly sealed container with four daily dosage times. Each container is clearly labelled, tamper-proof, and easy to transport if you are away from home. If you would like to discuss whether a monitored dosage system may be suitable for you or a family member, please contact the pharmacy.
Contact UsAn NHS Service for Everyday Conditions
We are a founder member of the Isle of Man Minor Ailments Scheme, whereby pharmacists can treat minor conditions that previously would have required referral to a doctor.
The service is an enhanced NHS service and is funded by the Isle of Man DHSS in a similar way to dispensed medicines. If you are exempt from NHS charges the service will be free, and if you pay NHS charges a consultation with medicine supply will be subject to a single NHS prescription charge.
Conditions treated
The scheme can be used for a defined list of conditions including impetigo, conjunctivitis, urinary tract infection in women under 65 (cystitis), oral thrush, mild eczema and vaginal thrush.
What happens in a consultation?
You will be seen in a private consultation area to protect your privacy. The pharmacist will ask about your symptoms, any medicines you are taking, and may need to see the affected area where appropriate.
After your consultation
Where treatment is suitable, your medicine will be prepared, labelled and supplied with clear advice. If referral is more appropriate, we will help arrange an appointment with your doctor, particularly where urgent treatment is needed.
